Special Education Resource LLC is an approved provider in the Utah Fits All Odyssey Marketplace. Our teachers, who are certified in special education, provide one-to-one online academic tutoring, and Odyssey pays providers directly for Marketplace purchases.

Where we are listed

Odyssey, the Utah Fits All program manager, publishes a list of “Vendors and Service Providers with Approved Offerings in the UFA Marketplace.” The version updated September 4, 2026 includes Special Education Resource LLC, the listing for Special Ed Resource.

We are an approved provider, not part of the program. We are not Odyssey, the Utah State Board of Education or the State of Utah, and families apply for Utah Fits All on Odyssey’s website. Accepting scholarship payments does not make a provider an agent of the state (Utah Code 53F-6-406(2)(b)), and nothing here means Odyssey or the Utah State Board of Education endorses us.

What we provide

  • One-to-one, live online academic tutoring for K-12 students (Utah Fits All covers kindergarten through grade 12).
  • Teachers who are certified in special education, from our own team of 40+. Our teachers provide the tutoring themselves.
  • Support for reading, writing, math and study skills for children with IEPs, 504 plans, dyslexia, ADHD, autism and other learning differences.
  • Academic tutoring only: we don’t offer therapy, speech-language services or evaluations.

Tutoring is a scholarship expense named in Utah law, and Odyssey sets no spending cap on tutoring. See what Utah Fits All pays for.

How booking works

  1. Book a free consultation so we can learn about your child and answer your questions.
  2. We talk through what tutoring could look like and how to book it in the Odyssey Marketplace.
  3. You place the order in the Marketplace from your child’s Utah Fits All account; Odyssey pays us directly.
  4. We learn more about your child, choose a teacher from our team, and you talk with the teacher before sessions begin online.

Families can also pay a provider themselves and ask Odyssey for reimbursement. For 2026-27, Odyssey asks for an itemized receipt, proof that payment was completed and the payment method, and honors reimbursement only when the cost does not exceed a comparable Marketplace price by more than 10%. Odyssey processes complete requests within 10 business days and pays within 10 business days of approval; Marketplace purchases avoid that wait. Details: paying for tutoring with Utah Fits All.

Program status: In April 2025, Utah’s Third District Court ruled Utah Fits All unconstitutional, and the State appealed to the Utah Supreme Court. As of October 1, 2026, the Utah Supreme Court has not ruled, and the program is operating for the 2026-27 school year. Read about the court case.

Rules we follow

  • No refunds, rebates or credits to families outside Odyssey; Utah law bars providers from sharing scholarship funds with families.
  • No special discounts or extras tied to paying with Utah Fits All.
  • Marketplace orders follow Odyssey’s no-cancellation policy; changes are handled with the vendor and any refund goes through Odyssey.

Special Education Resource LLC is an approved provider in the Utah Fits All Odyssey Marketplace. We are not Odyssey, the Utah State Board of Education or the State of Utah.

Is Special Ed Resource an approved Utah Fits All provider?

Yes. Odyssey’s list of vendors and service providers with approved offerings in the Utah Fits All Marketplace includes Special Education Resource LLC (list updated September 4, 2026).

Who pays you when we book through the Odyssey Marketplace?

Odyssey does. For Marketplace purchases, Odyssey says it pays vendors directly, so you don’t have to pay out of pocket and wait for reimbursement.

Can we cancel a Marketplace order?

Odyssey has a no-cancellation policy for Marketplace products and services; service orders are cancelled only if the vendor authorizes it, and any refund must be requested and approved through Odyssey. Ask us about scheduling and changes before you place an order.

Are you affiliated with Odyssey or the State of Utah?

No. We are a separate company. Accepting scholarship payments does not make a provider an agent of the state (Utah Code 53F-6-406(2)(b)), and nothing here means Odyssey or the Utah State Board of Education endorses us.

Can we use the Carson Smith Opportunity Scholarship instead?

Not at this time. The Carson Smith Opportunity Scholarship (CSOS) is a separate program run by Children First Education Fund (CFEF). Special Ed Resource is not currently listed in CFEF’s service-provider directory, so we make no claim that CSOS funds can pay for our tutoring. A student cannot hold CSOS and Utah Fits All in the same school year.
